Chiropractors have at least seven years of post-secondary education, including more than 4,200 hours in assessing, diagnosing, and treating issues that affect your body's movement.

At Level Health, our Chiropractors develop individualized treatment plans after an initial assessment and work with our patients to determine the best course of action to relieve stiffness and pain, improve quality of life, and develop strategies to prevent it from returning. Treatments may consist of any combination of joint mobilizations/manipulations, soft tissue therapy, cupping, neurofunctional acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, therapeutic exercises, and education on self-management strategies.

Registered Acupuncturists complete a minimum of three to four years of formal education in TCM, including rigorous clinical training and comprehensive board examinations administered by the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO)

At Level Health, our Registered Acupuncturists conduct detailed initial assessments rooted in both TCM diagnostic principles and biomedical understanding. They develop individualized treatment plans designed to restore balance, optimize physiological function, and support long-term health outcomes. Treatment may include a combination of modalities such as acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, cupping therapy, gua sha, acupressure massage, tuina, TDP heat lamp therapy, and dietary or lifestyle counselling.

With a strong emphasis on accurate diagnosis and patient-centered care, our Acupuncturists address a variety of health concerns—ranging from chronic pain, stress, digestive, bladder and hormonal imbalances, to fatigue and sleep disorders—while empowering patients with tools for sustainable wellness.

Dr. Malika has always been driven by a desire to help others feel their best and move with confidence. She believes that movement is medicine and is passionate about helping people of all ages and activity levels move better—whether you’re an athlete, a weekend warrior, or someone simply looking to reduce pain and improve everyday function.

Her treatment approach combines hands-on muscle release therapy, joint mobilizations, spinal adjustments, rehab exercise prescription, and acupuncture. She treats a wide variety of conditions from head to toe—including but not limited to, jaw dysfunction, back pain, shoulder and hip issues, and lower limb conditions. Her favourite conditions to treat are associated with neck pain and headaches. Dr. Malika also has experience treating osteoarthritic conditions such as knee and hip osteoarthritis. She works with individuals from diverse backgrounds and professions—including desk and office workers, teachers, tradespeople, and many others— helping them manage pain, improve function, and meet the physical demands of their daily lives. Her approach is evidence-informed and patient centered, always tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals.

Dr. Malika grew up as a competitive dancer, where she discovered her passion for creativity, movement, and inspiring others. At school, she developed a love for science, healthcare, and helping people—ultimately finding that chiropractic was the perfect way to combine her two passions. She brings a unique understanding of movement and body mechanics to her practice to support dancers and active individuals in injury recovery and performance optimization.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Malika is a nature enthusiast who enjoys hiking, kayaking, and camping. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and is in good standing with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario.

Dr. Leah Lawson is a registered Chiropractor in Ontario and is a member in good standing with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario (www.cco.on.ca). She attended Northeast College of Health Sciences (formally New York Chiropractic College) and graduated with honours in both her Doctor of Chiropractic and Masters of Science in Human Anatomy and Physiology Instruction degrees.

Dr. Leah has a special interest in head, neck, and jaw pain. She is passionate about helping you move better, feel better, and get back to doing what you love through a combination of hands-on chiropractic techniques and therapies, including soft tissue therapy, acupuncture, cupping, scraping, and rehabilitation exercises.

In 2013 Shelby graduated from the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine as an Acupuncturist. After that she sought additional education. Simultaneously she began training in the art of Qi Gong. There are 15+ forms that she is required to Master, sitting and standing meditations as well as breath work and longevity practices. She believes movement is medicine and without it we begin to see decline. Post college she enhanced her knowledge on point location, with classes and supervised clinical work, studied dietary therapy and biomedical sciences. Additional studies include:
